Lost & Found sketches

Ah, once I forgot that I had lost my sketchbook, I found it. Was momentarily puzzled and then scanhappy. From trams, trains, the side walk and food court. Enjoy :)

I need to do more gestural/full figured sketches like this...

Exciting News

About a month ago I entered my short film, Bus Stop, into the iiNet Get Animated Competition. I recently found out that it has been selected as a finalist, and as a result will be screened during the iiNet Films Afloat at Darling Harbour, as part of the Sydney Festival 2009 (14-18th January)! I'm extremely chuffed to have it showcased to a whole new audience and have it judged by an amazing panel of industry professionals.

I'm not sure yet if I can afford to go up to Sydney, although I'd love to go for a few days or even just the weekend. If you are in the Sydney area/heading up to the festival, and let me know if you see it!

For those who can't, there is always youtube:

Rebecca Hayes, 2007.

On a side note, I'm working on a new layout and will hopefully have it all up and running by next week.

Disney sketches

Looking at a bunch of Disney screencaps for inspiration and construction practice cause I needz it.

I love Mr. Flaversham from the Great Mouse Detective- one of the most underated Disney films (remember Ratigan's solo??). I watched it over and over as a kid. Hilarious still.

They just don't make 'em like they used to...
